CREATING ELITE OPPORTUNITIES

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q. What is the structure of the Champions Learning and Leadership Academy?
A. We are an independent school, serving boys in grades 1 through 8 from primarily Gwinnett and DeKalb counties. In compliance with state regulation, we report the attendance of each student to his specific county of residence. Boys who matriculate at the "Champions" Academy become distinguished scholars and exemplary leaders and become solidly positioned to compete with the best of the best.

Q. Do you follow the county’s curriculum or do you institute your own?
A. The "Champions" Learning technology is of original design and our standards and accomplishments far exceed conventional education. Our students are coached to become elite learners and master performers. All students at the Academy become nationally ranked.

Q. Do students at the Academy take the CRCT, ITBS, and/or Stanford 9?
A. The boys who matriculate at "Champions" take the ITBS, a "national" standardized test that is of a higher standard and is a far better assessment of student performance and competence than the CRTC. Our students are trained to be elite test takers, so, regardless of test taken, results are always expected to be stellar. At the "Champions" Academy, few boys score at less than the 90th percentile on standardized testing. Most boys score at or close to the 99th percentile. In addition, all students at the "Champions" Academy take the SAT during their 8th grade year. The SAT scores produced by boys at "Champions" exceed the average for a typical 12th grader in the United States.

Q. How much is tuition?
A. Tuition is $600 per month for a 10 month schedule. Monthly payments are due August-May. The tuition payment covers all fees.

Q. What is the start and end time of school?
A. School hours are from 7:45a - 3:00p...Arrival time is as early as 7:15a, and pickup is as late as 4:30p. Students use time after 3:00p to study and read.

Q. Is there a deposit to hold a spot for fall?
A. There is a 1 month non-refundable tuition payment to hold a spot for the fall. Deposit will go towards the tuition.

Q. What forms of payments are accepted?
A. We accept either check or money order.

Q. What type of lunch program do you have?
